Sunrise

I love to watch the sun come up.
(Yesterday morning)

Every day the sky is different.
(This morning)

I know not everyone can live on a farm. Or even wants to. But it suits me. I have been planted in the right place. I love that our kitchen opens to the rising sun. I'm an early bird by nature and look forward to seeing if the morning sky will be spectacular or just gray clouds. It's okay either way.

Some of my early time goes to my knitting projects.
Just finished this Color Affection Shawl.

This particular shawl was a test. A test of perserverance. I stopped reading the pattern somewhere along the way and then discovered I WAY overshot the mark on one section. Had to rip out about 12,000 stitches. Thanks to the power of Google I found a YouTube video that showed how to do this in a less painful way. Still, it was not a happy experience. But I did it. Have I ever told you I'm hard-headed?

I'm always thankful that this kind of mistake--unlike some mistakes in life--can be fixed, even if it takes some time and effort. So I really can't complain. But I will pay more attention next time.

Pattern:  Color Affection
Yarn:  Miss Babs Northumbria Fingering
Needles:  size 6

  1. I've learned the most about knitting from correcting mistakes. Bravo to you for taking the time to get it right. And yay that you found some advice on youtube. It contains a wealth of information. Beautiful shawl... beautiful sunrise.
